I started this business in the suburbs of Cleveland, OH in 1996 and did business as Like New Homes.  I didnt want to be just remodeling company, but a business that people believed in.   I wanted to build on the ideas and principals that I had learned as a child from my grandparents.  I wanted to bring homes back to life and help their owners love them the way they used to.  I wanted my customers to know that I was there for them before, during, and after the project.  That I would listen to their wants and needs to help create their dream. I remodeled many kitchens and baths, built a number of decks and 3 season rooms,  installed miles of hardwood floors, and built many relationships. The name has changed but not the concept.  At Classic Custom Carpentry Inc., we take pride in the work that we do for our customers.  We do business the way your grandfather would have done it 50 years ago.  The way my grandfather did it. These are the words we live by and do business by.  They are what set us apart from the rest and are non-negotiable.  Ask any of the many people I have done work for and they will tell you just how true this is.  All of the projects we take on reflect our experience.  If your project is one that we are inexperienced at, we will not undertake it, simply since we cannot guarantee your satisfaction.  Sub-contractors are used for certain facets of projects we do and are held to the same standards we follow.  We use certain people because they have demonstrated time and time again their willingness to satisfy their customers as well as ours. The materials we use are of high quality to ensure your satisfaction.  We will not use products that are cheap or are of low quality to keep the price down.  This creates warranty problems and can keep you from being satisfied with your project.  We warranty all of our work for one year, but we want you to be happy with the job for many years after the warranty.  At Classic Custom Carpentry Inc., we show all of our customers the respect they deserve.  Unlike other companies, we will treat you and your project individually, giving you the personal attention you need.  Listening to your needs and creating a unique look for your home is one way of showing that respect.  Once you have experienced our way of doing business you will not call another contractor again. Classic Custom Carpentry is committed to Made In The U.S.A.  We use as many products, made in the USA, as we can in our remodeling projects.  As the owner of this company, I feel it is only right to do so.  Most of my customers are hard working Americans or are retired hard working Americans.  By using, Made in the U.S.A. products, I am supporting those customers and our economy.  I will soon have a list of the materials we use and where in the U.S. they are made.  Look for it on the contacts page.  And remember BUY AMERICAN! 2)  Interview your candidates.  Find out how long they have been doing the work you are looking for, how long they have been in business for themselves, are they doing the work or do they use subcontractors, are they insured, ask for references for a job that they are currently working on; one that was finished 3 to 6 months ago; and one that is a year old,  ask to see pictures of completed projects,  get a detailed estimate for your project. 5) Always compare apples to apples.  Knowing what each contractor is giving you and comparing the quotes side by side will help enable you to make the right decision. At the end of the day you need to chose the person you feel the most comfortable with.  The best price is not always the best choice.  If you feel real good about the person that is higher in price then you probably should go that route.  Sometimes when we think we are saving money when we really aren't.  We save up front but pay more on the back end to fix the problems we didn't see.  Remember (YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!)
