During his career of 40 years in the world industry business, Francis has developed a strong network composed of businesses, private equities, consulting firms and individuals coming from various horizons and having their own competencies like human resources, operations, laws, or accounting. CIW is ready to serve competitively your industrial business needs... Francis started his career with Leroy Somer (LS) located in Angouleme, France, as a production engineer in 1976. His educational background is in mechanical design and engineering as well as business management. In 1983, he accepted an expatriate assignment in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, as general manager of LS Canada. Following a very successful assignment, he returned to France in 1989 as vice-president of marketing for LS Industrial Electric Motors Division. Emerson (EMR, based in St. Louis, MO) subsequently acquired LS in 1990. Francis was promoted on several occasions following Emerson’s acquisition. In 2010, Francis became president of Emerson Heating Products with the mission to divest that division. The business (with manufacturing sites in Mexico and China) was successfully transferred to NIBE, a Swedish company, in late 2011. Following that mission, Francis created CIW Consulting. The CIW concept, tools, and action plans are described in a book called You can find hundreds of books talking about strategic vision, business success stories, or management coaching. A lot of books, too, talk about the power of planning, mid- and long-term. Almost none of the books discuss the real key of vision and planning, which is successfully executing the plan. Many companies have fine visions and strategies clearly mapped out but fail to execute those, and that’s the main reason some businesses or key projects fail. How much of the available business literature specifically explains execution and, even more, how to execute efficiently? Not many books do… but this one does! This book identifies and analyzes the main “whatever reason” why management “does not do it.” Then the book proposes a methodology with simple tools and ways to apply them as answers.
