Cindy K Dohner LLC Cindy K Dohner, LLC 2017 - present Former Senior Executive with the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service with extensive experience in comprehensive natural resource conservation, and providing support to other Federal Agencies, State Fish and Wildlife Agencies, private landowners, Nonprofit Organizations, and industry. Strong business development professional with experience in landscape and watershed conservation, building partnerships, At Risk Species conservation, and assisting landowners solve large scale conservation issues. Additional experience working for three State Agencies, two other Federal agencies, and in the private sector. Most recently served as the Regional Director of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Southeast Region, which is headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia from 2009 until my retirement in August 2017. In this position, I provided vision, leadership, and oversight for Service activities in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. I also oversaw the management of approximately 130 national wildlife refuges covering approximately 5 million acres, 14 national fish hatcheries, 10 fishery assistance offices, and 16 ecological services field offices. I was also responsible for the supervision of the six Deputy Regional Directors, Assistant Regional Directors; the Chiefs of Refuges, Migratory Birds, and Federal Aid; the Chief of Staff, and an Executive Assistant. These supervisors are responsible for executing all of the work of the Service’s major programs throughout the southeast. There are more than 1500 employees in the Southeast Region.
