Our Business Michael J. Cimino opened Cimino Salon in 1984 and was originally located in historic Hyde Park. He then moved to our current location where we are proud to be one of the oldest salons remaining in South Tampa. We are located in a renovated, historic house off Macdill Avenue and Bay Vista. Our staff is full of life, creative, energetic, and fun making us an amazingly dynamic group. Who We Are Michael has been a hair stylists in the greater Tampa Bay going on 35 years. While finishing up his associates degree, he was also getting his cosmetology and barbers license. He then started out as an associate for Louis A. Perez, landing a permanent hair stylist position. After nine years he opened his first studio in historic Hyde Park, then moved to our current location where he is proud to be running one of the oldest salons in South Tampa. "I thought hair was just something I'd enjoy doing, I never thought it would be an amazing journey like this." In addition to extensive classes on styles, color, and cutting; Michael is also certified in Liscio Thermal Reconditioning and Copploa Keratin Straightening Treatments. "I live to make people look good and feel beautiful." Laura is a graduate of The Salon Professional Academy, affiliated with Redken. She graduated one of the top three of her class and has big things planned for the future. She started at Cimino Salon as an associate to the owner, Michael; Where she expanded her knowledge of color and cutting. "I love this industry because I am able to be apart of making someone change their look and how they feel." Laura is always taking new classes and shows to stay on top of the latest trends and is also certified in the Coppola Keratin Straightening Treatment. She is currently in the process of building her clientele and always loves a challenge. "I'm running some amazing specials so I can't wait to serve you in the future!" Daisy is a native of the Philippines, and came to the states to pursue her dream in health and beauty. She's been in this industry for going on 23 years, and 15 of those have been in beautiful South Tampa. "I chose to do this profession because I love being with people and and meeting their needs to make their everyday life easier." Daisy has a way with making you feel at home while your with us and loves to pamper everyone.
