I started a small business, Home in the Country, where I taught an array of art techniques in my country cottage studio. Twice a year I hosted a Country Antique and Craft show which became an anticipated event in our community. These shows enabled me to combine my love of old, vintage treasures with my creative side. In 2009, my husband Kevin and I left our country home and moved to the beach on the Treasure Coast of Florida. That's where Christine's Coastal Treasures was born! I started painting and refurbishing old pieces of furniture, and giving them a coastal flare. My only outlet to sell my wares was local antique malls. After 3 years of moving to different locations. . .I was invited to be a vendor in Bloomingdeals Consignment in Jensen Beach. Now, 10 months later. . .I have opened my own store and art studio in that location. It's a lifetime dream come true! The store is filled with refurbished painted furniture, primitive items, coastal and farmhouse decor and vintage treasures. The studio is a place to let your creative juices flow.
