OUR MISSION Christian Skaters exists to connect local skate communities to Jesus. We are a global family of skateboarders who are dedicated to living out our faith, sharing the hope we have in Jesus Christ and discipling skaters in God’s Word. Christian Skaters is a Christian non-profit, grass roots organization and relies on the financial support of churches, foundations, and individuals. We have been reaching out to the skateboarding community since the 1990s. Inspired from the movement of Christian Surfers, Christian Skaters was officially born in 2003. Christian Skaters felt a call to link arms with skate ministries from a number of countries to form an international movement. Christian Skaters exists to equip and encourage those with a heart to share Jesus Christ with the skateboarding culture. Christian Skaters helps others start skate ministries Whether it is casting the vision to their local church, creating a mission plan, establishing programming & discipleship, promoting, ramp building, revamping a current skate church or ministry, adding a pro shop, planning events or outreaches, bringing in pros/ams for speaking events or demos, coordinating camps and clinics, or organizing a short-term skate mission…Christian Skaters is here to come alongside you to build a successful skate ministry. Christian Skaters helps build a strong body of skate ministries. Bi-annually Christian Skaters hosts an international conference to equip, encourage and unite leaders of skate ministries around the globe. We also partner with local ministries to host smaller regional events in places like the United Kingdom, South Africa, Australia, South America and other regions. Christian Skaters helps send skaters to GO and share the Gospel through Skate Missions. Christian Skaters strives to impact the industry and reach skaters through a presence at industry events & social media. WE ARE SUPPORTING SKATERS WHO WANT TO SEE THEIR COMMUNITIES TRANSFORMED BY Phil Williams has served as the Regional Coordinator for Christian Surfers UK/Europe since 2003 and has worked with Christian Skaters since 2005. We are truly blessed by his wisdom and relationships from the many years of serving with Christian Surfers. Luiz Lee Bob is a leader with Christian Skaters Brasil and is passionate about sharing Jesus with skaters and uniting ministries together for this purpose. He has been recognized by his city for impacting the youth of Brasil, spoken at various conferences and has built a great team of leaders in this country. Uli, cofounder of Christian Skaters, also currently acts as the regional coordinator for the United States and Canada regions. We first met Manny on a mission trip to Guatemala. He was our translator, worship leader and local skate connection. Almost a decade later Manny still is a faithful leader of CS Guatemala and has been vital in connecting ministries throughout Latin America. Christian Skater's main focus is introducing skaters to Jesus and discipling them in God's Word. This vision may look different, depending on the location of a ministry. However, a typical CS partner/chapter hosts a weekly Bible Study to disciple local believers. These local skaters are integrated into their skate communities and led by a team of leaders from supportive local churches. Typical activities include regular meetings and evangelistic skater-friendly Bible studies, contests, camps and day trips, skate clinics, skate missions and outreach/service at secular events reaching the skate culture. Each affiliated partner or ministry agrees to Christian Skaters’ vision, core values and statement of faith. HELP US SUPPORT LEADERS SERVING Helping to Start Successful Skate Ministries With over 25 years of combined experience in skate ministry, we can help you to start a successful skate ministry. From training your staff, to helping you set up a POS and waiver system - Christian Skaters can assist you in creating a ministry that sustains itself and help equip you for longevity in skate ministry. We can help train staff to lead Bible Studies, camps, contests, small groups, events and more. From youth groups, to events, to contests, to outreaches, to conferences...Christian Skaters has a speaker for your event. We work with veterans in skate ministry and pro skaters who can emcee your event, share testimonies, judge contests, skate demos and even play worship music. Christian Skaters partners with several skateboarding demos teams who are strategically located in different global regions, but all share a love for the skateboarding community and Jesus Christ. Demo teams will put on an exciting show for your event and then share their testimonies of how Jesus has transformed their lives. Teams will invite skaters and the audience to begin a new relationship with Christ or recommit their lives to Jesus. As Christian Skaters strives to be a bridge to the local church, we will work together with event coordinators to get those who make decisions plugged into a local church. From skateboarding contests to festivals, Christian Skaters can help make your event an unforgettable experience that can be life-changing to those who are part of it. Skateboarding is part of it's own culture. If you skate, you automatically connect with other skateboarders not matter what language you speak or what your background is. It is a family. And, as believers, we are called to love those in this community with us as Christ would. Other skaters should know our faith by how we love others. There are all different types of skaters with all different skill sets, styles, etc. But, no matter the difference, when you jump on a board with a fellow skater, there is an automatic connection - a brotherhood. As Christian Skaters, whether skating with believers or unbelievers, we are called to live out our faith and be an example of Jesus to those who do not yet know Him.
