Establishing a good relationship with homeowners is very important to Shawn, and he works hard to maintain this relationship throughout the entire building project. His core philosophy is to give our homeowners a pleasurable building experience by demanding the highest quality workmanship from our sub-contractors and by delivering remarkable service as a representative of Christian Builders and Remodelers, Inc. Sue has been with Christian Builders since 1998, and worked in the construction industry for many years previous to that. She has the ability to formulate the right plan for each customer and basically build the house in her mind and on paper so that the construction people have all the information they need to construct the house. Once Sue meets the customer or their real estate representative, there is an immediate connection and understanding of the style of home they are looking to design. Her expertise comes from years of working with knowledgeable construction people, fellow designers and building materials suppliers. Linda is the Office Manager at Christian Builders and Remodelers. She maintains and oversees the multiple day-to-day functions of the office and works closely with many aspects of the office operation. She started with Christian Builders in 1990 and had worked in the construction industry for 20 years prior to that. Linda works closely with Brad & Shawn on the day to day process of building. She also works directly with the Mortgage company and the Title company to ensure a smooth closing process for our buyers. Chad is one of Christian Builders' sales reps and has the ability to bring some of the newest trends to the business. He focuses his efforts on the marketing and sales side of the company. In addition to his degree, Chad’s knowledge and experience has come from growing up around the construction/real estate business and learning the business firsthand from multiple generations of his family. Christian Builders has successfully met the green building standards required for the SILVER level of certification under the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Green Building Rating System™ in April of 2009. Christian Builders was among six industry representatives chosen to attend the one year anniversary of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 (EPAct) in Washington, D.C. EPAct benefits home builders through the home energy tax credit and provides incentives for new ethanol plans, renewable energy, clean coal technologies, and nuclear and hydrogen energy. The new EPAct incentives will enable Christian Builders to continue research and implementation of energy-saving practices and improved indoor air quality. Christian Builders committed to building all of its new homes in compliance with the Energy Star® Program. According to the Environmental Protection Agency, homes built with Energy Star® guidelines will operate at least 15% more efficiently than homes built to Minnesota Energy code. Therefore, saving you money, while keeping you cooler in summer and warmer in winter. The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Research Center, partnering with the US Department of Energy, NAHB's Energy Subcommittee, National Renewable Energy laboratory, and Professional Builder magazine, conducts the EnergyValue Housing Award.Awards were presented in five home categories: affordable, custom, factory-built, production and innovative in three climate regions: hot, moderate, and cold. In 1999 there were eight gold winners, three being in the cold climate region. They were: Christian Builders in Minnesota (Custom Home), Ryan Homes in New York (Affordable Home), and Colorado Dream Homes in Colorado (Production Home). A panel of judges who evaluated applications on energy performance and the integration of energy efficiency into the design, construction, and marketing of new homes chose the winners.
