Here at Christ Central Lake Wales we believe our mission is to deliver the message of hope to a world that has no hope. Here at Christ Central, you will find real people, in real life, with real solutions to the issues in life. Jesus Christ is our only hope for today’s issues. We believe we are justified (declared righteous under the blood of Jesus) when we repent of our sins and believe in Jesus Christ. Mission Statement Here at Christ Central Lake Wales, our mission statement is "Healing the hurting,saving the lost" We as a body of believers strive to show the world the amazing love that Jesus Christ has for them. To let the world know about the restoration Christ has for every situation in their lives. No matter how bad the hurt, or how deep the wounds our past has left us with, Jesus Christ is in the restoring business,he makes all things new. Pastors John and Julie Cannon are the founders and lead pastors of Christ Central Lake Wales. Pastor John and Julie live in Lake Wales and have three wonderful boys Joshua, Jacob, and Zachary. All three are out of school and pursuing their careers. Under the leadership of Pastor John many ministries have evolved and each one has had an impact on the local community as well as foreign countries. Pastor John, Julie, and the Christ Central family minister in many ways. We are able to assist the people of our church and community through a Food Pantry that is open two days a week, assist with sponsoring missionary, assist with beautification projects with local schools, and give book bags and school supplies to local school children. Pastor John, Julie, and the Christ Central family have a heart for missions. We are actively sponsoring missionaries in Honduras, support two orphanages in Honduras, and one orphanage in the Philippines. Christ Central Lake Wales has a motto of “Always Moving Forward” and focuses on making a difference in the lives of people in the church, community, and foreign countries. Services include Sunday, 10:30 A.M. and Wednesday, 7:00 P.M. Church office hours are Monday, Tuesday, and Friday 10:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M. Pastor and Julie have been married for 18 years. They have 3 sons, all are working and pursuing their own careers. Both have pastored since 1998 in Bartow, FL, Port Richey, FL and in Lake Wales, FL. In February of 2010 they started a Bible Study in their home with 35 people and quickly grew into starting Christ Central Lake Wales in March 7, 2010 at the Women’s Club in Lake Wales, FL. Pastor Julie currently works at Lake Wales Medical Center as a Respiratory Therapist; she has been a therapist for 25 years. Please take a moment and fill out the form below.
