ChangeMongers we lead businesses and individuals to embed proactive change and innovation into their strategic thinking, planning processes, and personal lives. We are that someone! Because so much of dealing with change is about dealing with people and their perceived preferences, we help others by providing: Upon graduating with an accounting degree from the University of West Florida, Mike began his professional career working for international and regional CPA firms and spent 35 years working with successful entrepreneurial businesses as a certified public accountant and partner in a public accounting firm. Mike’s varied exposure to the challenges of an entrepreneurial business provided a broad array of experience in operations, finance, and technology. Always interested in change, Mike was an early adopter of technological innovations such as the personal computer, local area networking and mobile computing. Mike combined his financial and business skills with his information technology skills allowing him to assess an organization’s business and operational challenges and quickly align current information technologies to improve the organization’s performance. Based on his deep understanding of technology’s limited impact without the appropriate processes, Mike consulted and guided organizations through the implementation, change, and process improvements surrounding his recommended technologies. As rapid developments occurred in the areas of connectivity, such as improved networking configurations and components and the availability of Internet access with affordable bandwidth, Mike stressed the importance of information availability across multiple locations within an organization along with the accessibility of critical information to clients. Driven predominantly by the need to manage burgeoning data stores, Mike developed expertise in the areas of document management, paperless office processes, and knowledge management. Mike traveled both nationally and internationally assisting firms with the adoption of new technologies and change management while simultaneously playing a major role in his public accounting firm developing and merging into a paperless office industry leader. Resulting from his experience and philosophy, Mike quickly embraced cloud-based technologies and developed additional expertise in core online infrastructure solutions such as email, word processing, spreadsheets, CRM, collaboration, and accounting. In 2012 Mike retired from his public accounting firm to solely concentrate on his passion for change. As the president of ChangeMongers, LLC, Mike promotes unique solutions to embracing the change permeating every aspect of today’s personal and business life. Assisting organizations with learning, adopting, and succeeding in new technologies and change management is where Mike thrives. He has significant experience in knowledge management, document management, paperless office processes, workflow improvement, business process improvement, information technology, system integration, infrastructure design, business continuity, disaster recovery, mobile devices, social media utilization, and cloud-based technologies. Paul is a veteran of the Information Technology (IT) field having been hired to his first industry position more than 30 years ago. From the tasks of that first industry position as a computer operator to the leadership and management responsibilities of his most recent role as Chief Information Officer (CIO) for a large, regional, multi-location accounting firm, Paul has had a continuous and successful career in the field of Information Technology. One benefit to having been such an active participant in the evolution of the IT industry over this span of time is that Paul possesses a depth and breadth of experience few can match. Paul’s entry into the IT arena was around the time the dominance of the mainframe computer was coming to an end and the era of the minicomputer was beginning. This trend provided more (and generally smaller) companies with the opportunity to purchase and leverage computer power to operate their businesses. Paul’s role at this time was primarily software development (application programming). This entailed authoring, testing, and implementing software applications specific to each particular business. Additional responsibilities included end user training and support and system maintenance tasks, such as installing operating system updates. The IT industry then underwent a significant change from centralized to de-centralized computing by embracing the power of the personal computer. At the same time Paul’s role changed to that of IT Consultant where his base of experience grew significantly. As a consultant Paul assessed company needs and then proposed and implemented solutions for a large variety of businesses. Paul daily addressed and managed the challenges of building sound network infrastructures that included local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), solid server platforms, secure remote access solutions, and integration of data and telephone systems for multiple clients. As Paul’s consulting skills continued to grow he became a recognized subject matter expert on the paperless office. He traveled the country providing implementation consulting services to various businesses regarding their electronic document management projects. In his role as Director of IT for a large regional accounting firm, he led his team in a highly successful server virtualization project that reduced annual IT infrastructure costs, increased overall performance, and implemented a solid business continuity and disaster recovery plan. Over the last couple of years Paul has closely monitored the development of cloud computing as this trend has evolved from more than a buzz word to a practical and cost effective alternative for most businesses today. Paul’s technical expertise and extensive business experience effectively position him to assist businesses in taking maximum advantage of the IT products, tools, and platforms available today that provide reliable, secure, anytime, anywhere access to corporate information from just about any device.
