Who We Are Chaney Consulting Group is a specialized provider of professional workers’ compensation and risk management services to large employers in Ohio and the Midwest. With a unique understanding and experience from the employer’s point of view, we provide a focused and goal-oriented approach to reducing costs and controlling the exposures associated with workers’ compensation and employee absences. Chaney Consulting Group is a two-time recipient of the prestigious Case Western Reserve Weatherhead 100 award as “One of the 100 Fastest Growing Companies in Northeast Ohio.” The Company was formed over fifteen years ago to provide those employers with a significant Ohio presence, a highly specialized workers’ compensation service provider that emphasizes a consultative, results oriented approach and customized solutions. David Chaney, the President and founder, brings his over twenty-five years industry experience and a unique perspective through his risk management and insurance background. We work with each client to find opportunities for improvement and provide solutions through a goal oriented plan of action. Personalized service is delivered in a team setting using a single point person supported by a team of experienced professionals from various disciplines. Caseloads are closely monitored and kept well below industry standards so that we can give our clients the time they deserve when they call and meet with them face to face more often. As our clients needs have grown over the years, we’ve expanded our services to meet their needs. In addition to workers’ compensation and unemployment compensation management, we work with employers in these areas which can be integrated into workers’ compensation for an absence management approach or provided on a stand alone basis: Dave has nearly thirty years experience providing risk management solutions to employers with large Ohio exposures. As an active member of the service team, Dave works with clients in the design and execution of goal-oriented service plans and helps them resolve difficult workers’ compensation issues. Dave also operates Chaney Excess Specialists, a broker for workers’ compensation excess insurance coverage. Prior to founding both companies eighteen years ago, Dave worked closely with employers at two other regional firms and a large national insurance broker giving him a well rounded risk management background. He is active with the various self-insured groups in Ohio and has spoken before several trade associations. He is a graduate of the University of Dayton and an alumni volunteer with their admissions office. He’s also a member of the Business Advisory Council of Cuyahoga County Community College (Tri-C) and recently completed serving as Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of Beacon Health, a non-profit mental health agency. Nancy oversees the operational aspects of Chaney Consulting Group including client service standards and the development and training of all personnel. She has been with Chaney Consulting Group since inception and lends over twenty years of diverse and related experience to the Chaney Consulting Group team and its clients.
