About Champions Fire College On behalf of the members of the Champions Fire College Standards and Education Commission and the staff of the Champions Fire College, thank you for visiting our virtual campus. It is our job to prepare firefighters and first responders to protect communities from the loss of life and property. We accomplish this mission by delivering excellent training courses and by administering the process of fire service certification across Canada, the United States and the World. We are also proud to provide our services to private industry and to the Canadian Forces and the U. S. Department of Defense firefighting forces located at military installations around the world. To achieve our mission, we are guided by the pursuit of five core pillars: Conduct official correspondence on behalf of Champions Fire College as appropriate and jointly with the Executive Team when appropriate. Provide support to the Executive Team by preparing meeting agenda and supporting materials. Ensure that the programs and services offered by the organization contribute to the organization’s mission and reflect the priorities of Champions Fire College. Recruit, interview and select staff that have the right technical and personal abilities to help further the organization’s mission. Ensure that all staff receives an orientation to the organization and that appropriate training is provided. Provide the Executive Team with comprehensive, regular reports on the revenues and expenditure of the organization within the Non Profit framework. Establish good working relationships and collaborative arrangements with community groups, funders, politicians, and other organizations to help achieve the goals of the organization. Assist in determining the organization’s mission, purpose and strategies. It is the Board’s responsibility to create and review a statement of mission and purpose that articulates the organization’s goals and strategies that will advance the association. The Board should ensure that the Director has the moral and professional support he/she needs to achieve the goals of Champions Fire College Provide proper financial oversight.
