The Central Florida Soccer League is an adult amateur soccer league, located in the greater Orlando Florida region. The CFSL is affiliated with the Florida State Soccer Association and the United States Soccer Federation. We are governed by the global laws of Federation Internationale de Football Association or FIFA. The league boasts 2700+ registered men and women’s players, with more than 120 teams playing in 12 divisions. League matches are played at facilities throughout Brevard, Orange, Osceola, Seminole, and Volusia counties. *The Board of Director’s are looking for individuals who would also like to donate their time to help the league in a variety of capacities including but not limited to: Director of Fields (Help research and identify fields for use) Director of Coaching (Help those desiring to pursue coaching with the direction to obtain licenses) Director of Events (Help coordinate events for the league) Co-Directors of Sponsorships (Help reach out to obtain sponsorships and grants) These men, Sam Homic, Fritz Goetz, Jim Gillies, and Alberto Farina forged the beginnings of what is known today as the Central Florida Soccer League. However, a man by the name of Rudolph Spuller is considered to be the “father” of soccer in Central Florida. Spuller, a native of Germany, played an integral role in the start-up and development of the Orange Soccer Club. 1969- The Central Florida Soccer League is formed. Teams from Orlando, Brevard, Deland, Daytona, and Jacksonville compete. 1997-The CFSL is second largest league in the state of Florida, with over 80 registered teams, eight playing divisions, an intercollegiate league, and more than 2000 registered players. The league provides administrative soccer services for registration, competition, fields, referees, scheduling, rule-arbitration, and tournament play. All Central Florida Soccer League games shall be played under the current “Laws of the Game” published by FIFA, subject to specific League Rules created by the CFSL membership, the Rules and Regulations Committee and/or CFSL President or the CFSL Board of Directors.
