I have been making jewelry for the past 10 years. It kind of came natural to me because I come from a family of jewelers and watchmakers. My father was a watchmaker. He worked for the Gruen Company in New York City then when we moved to Miami, Florida he set up his shop in the Seybol building, downtown Miami. His brothers were all jewelers and owned jewelry stores here in Miami and New York.
In appreciation for their efforts I made the coaches Sterling Silver Oars with their initials engraved on them. they loved them! During regattas most parents started ordering these oars for them and their rowers! Thus Celia Mayor Jewelers was born!
