Company Catula Art Studio and bronze foundry is located in Miami, Florida and was founded by the Hernandez family in conjunction with artist Uldis Lopez. We specialize in creating custom bronze art, irrespective of size, while keeping the fine details of the pieces. Over the last 30 years, the Hernandez family has built several outdoor media companies that specialize in the manufacture of illuminated signage and have worked for national retailers with extreme time constraints and meticulous branding details. In 1981, Saul and Leida Hernandez started a small retail sign shop, Saul Signs, that thru the years grew into one of the largest and most renowned signage companies in South Florida. After growing up in the family business, their son Joel decided to join his parents full-time bringing with him his business acumen he gained while attending Florida International University (FIU). In 1998, Joel launched EconoChannel, which is a wholesale company working with clientele throughout the US, Canada, South America and the Caribbean. In 2009, the Hernandez family was looking to diversify their business portfolio and expand in new enterprise. It was at this time that they contacted Mr. Lopez. Impressed by Lopez’s sculptures that they had seen around South Florida, the Hernandez family invited Mr. Lopez to visit their manufacturing facility and began to conceptualize the way in which their state-of-the-art technology and manufacturing equipment and expertise could be coupled with Lopez’s artistic talent. The Hernandez family’s business virtues, reputation for quality and their proven experience managing successful manufacturing businesses together with Lopez’s academic knowledge and artistic brilliance lead to the creation of Catula Art Studio.
