Who We Are CAS Assurance, LLC is a CPA firm based in Miramar, Florida. We offer tax, bookkeeping, accounting, assurance, and advisory services designed to meet the specific and unique needs of our clients. We will leverage our professional experience of more than 16 years with small and large entities in both private and public sectors to work with you to provide the best possible solutions to your tax, accounting and assurance needs. Our goal is to assist our clients to run their businesses efficiently, manage their risks effectively, and maximize the returns from the use of their financial resources. We offer services to individuals, small and medium sized businesses and non-profit entities in the following categories: Michael is a professional accountant and auditor with over 20 years combined experiences in accounting, financial reporting, taxation, budgeting, auditing and information system security management in both private and public sectors. His work experiences include working as accountant for a group of companies, as banks auditor for more than six years, and as internal and IT auditor for the largest county government in the state of Florida for more than nine years. At the banks, Michael assessed, reported on, and recommended enhancements to internal control and risk management in business processes in multiple divisions, including treasury, fund transfer, cash management, credit risk, information technology and security. And as a government auditor, Michael led multiple performance and IT audits that resulted in the recovery of thousands of dollars for taxpayers, and enhanced countywide information security management practice and business processes in multiple departments. . He is also a QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor (Advanced), helping small and medium sized entities to enable efficient and effective accounting systems. Michael holds two master degrees: one in accounting and the other in Information Technology (concentration in information security management), both from Nova Southeastern University, Florida.  Michael is passionate about leveraging his robust experiences and skills in assisting business owners to operate their businesses efficiently, manage their business risks, and fulfill their reporting obligations. It was this passion that drove the vision for the formation of CAS Assurance, LLC.  He delights in giving back to professional groups that have been instrumental to his professionalism. He has been a board member for the South Florida chapter of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) since 2012 where he has served as Director of Volunteer Activities, Director of Membership, Director-at-large, and Government and Regulatory Advocacy Coordinator. Michael has been a member of the Miami-Dade Toastmasters Club since 2008 where he has served as Treasurer, VP Education, and Club President, helping and mentoring members to achieve their goals of mastering public speaking and leadership skills. Your tax return information includes the nature, source, or amount of your income, payments, receipts, deductions, exemptions, credits, assets, liabilities, net worth, tax liability, tax withheld, deficiencies, overassessments, or tax payments. We collect your personal information you provided to us or authorized us to obtain from third parties for the purpose of preparing your tax return or rendering other professional service to you. As a matter of general rules and professional ethics, we do not disclose personal information of our clients or former clients to anyone outside our firm. Our employees who need to have access to your personal information in order to render services would normally have access to such information after they have signed a non-disclosure agreement. If for any legitimate reason, any of our business partners who provide services to us in order for us to render our services to you needs to have access to your personal information, we will obtain non-disclosure agreement from the partner before granting such access. In the course of a review of our firm's practices under the authorization of a state or national licensing board, or as necessary to properly respond to an inquiry or complaint from such a licensing board.
