We’ve been in this business for over 25 years. As the industries we serve have evolved during this time, so have we. Cartesian Origins The name Cartesian signifies intelligent and creative thinking, imaginative problem solving, and technical expertise from its origins relating to the French philosopher and mathematician René Descartes. Founded in 1990 by a team of telecom engineers, Cartesian began life as The Management Network Group (TMNG). Initially, we provided management consulting services including business process transformation, marketing, and enterprise architecture to local US telecommunications and cable companies. In early 2007, TMNG acquired UK-based consultancy Cartesian Limited. Based in London, Cartesian was a specialist TMT software engineering and consulting firm. Similar to TMNG, Cartesian was founded by a small group of telecom specialists whose aim was to deliver data-driven approaches to solve the challenges faced by communications service providers. The firm had also developed , a proprietary software product suite for revenue assurance, mediation, service activation, and data management for communications service providers. Ascertain has since evolved and serves as the platform for many of our advanced analytics and managed solutions. Up until early 2014, our company operated under the brands “CSMG”, “Cartesian” and “TMNG Global”. In late 2013, we merged our business units and rebranded under one name, “Cartesian”. The new company brand was launched in February 2014. Later, in June 2014, updated our corporate name to “Cartesian, Incorporated”. Company expansion Cartesian has grown both organically and through the acquisition of other specialist firms in our industry. The common thread is our continued focus on the telecommunications, media, and technology sector. 2007 – Cartesian Limited: added software engineering capability and expanded operations and technical consulting services to a wider international client base 2007 – RVA Consulting: extended technical services with US Tier 1 communication service providers Possessing a wide range of specialist skills, tools, and knowledge, we are uniquely positioned within the communications sector to truly provide comprehensive and in-depth services. Farncombe joined Cartesian in 2015, bringing additional expertise to our digital media services In July 2015, Farncombe joined Cartesian, adding digital TV and broadcast sector expertise to the breadth of capabilities we offer. Farncombe’s clients include broadcasters, broadband and mobile operators, multi-platform video content providers, equipment manufacturers, regulators, and financial service providers.
