At the age of 7, (when the family moved to Marco Island, FL) she was enrolled in formal dance classes. For 13 years, she participated in competitive tap, jazz, ballet, modern, character, production and hip-hop. Another layer was developed in entertainment, stage lighting, dressing the part and sparkling sequins that caught your attention. As an adult, her dreams were realized when she danced on stage at Walt Disney World in front of thousands of guests. Keeping in character, she “kept friends” with famous princesses such as Belle and Mary Poppins. As a final note, Carrie graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and Business. Event Planning is an avenue that allows all of her talents to come alive. Creative sets, music, color, costumes, makeup, imagination, sketches, grand entrances, and overall just making the guests go “Wow”, ensuring that they leave with the satisfaction that they were entertained. Choreographing the details in every aspect and weaving in unique touches help define the quality of her events and her high level of expectation. Setting her aside from others? Why the option to get “Carried Away” of course! Besides having a great last name, Matt thrives as Carrie Darling Event’s Workshop Manager. Jack of all trades, he is a large part of what makes us different. Matt is extremely talented and creative, so when we are looking to create a unique bamboo ceremony structure for a Bride, or 9′ Barn Walls for a Western Party- he can make it happen! While he took shop classes in school, he has a natural ability for constructing custom pieces. All we have to do is plant the seed, and he takes a concept and runs with it. Whether it is a unique fire concept, custom lit sign or unique shaped table – he can create it! He also comes up with the BEST signature drink concoctions! Matt allows Carrie Darling Events to provide an additional level of custom service to our customers, and it is truly exciting! The Company The company was established in 2007 and is a preferred vendor at numerous Southwest Florida resorts and venues. We have been interviewed for Wink’s TV’s “Out and About in SWFL”, Visit Florida, Coastal Life and BBJ Linen’s “Ask the Experts”. Carrie Darling Events is proud to also be a decor sponsor of local charity events including the Naples Music Festival and the Imagination Ball organized by the American Cancer Society. Our work has been published in several BLOGS and publications including Grace Ormonde’s Wedding Style, Destination Weddings and Honeymoons BLOG and Weddings Illustrated. Carrie Darling Events is based in Southwest Florida (Marco Island, Naples, Ft. Myers, Sanibel/Captiva) but we are open to traveling anywhere. We look forward to working with you! WOW..where to even begin. First of all I think it speaks volumes when your family uses the same wedding planner for three events in a year! Carrie and her team are truly the most talented group in the area. Not living in Florida when you are trying to plan a wedding can be stressful but Carrie took all of that stress upon herself. She is responsive and thinks of every detail months before the wedding. She is easy to communicate with and makes the process so easy. Our wedding had a lot of personal touches that Carrie went above and beyond with. She communicated with all of our vendors ahead of time and is very organized. Her husband even constructed the most amazing escort card table to look like a football field!!! The best decision we made was hiring Carrie Darling Events. Carrie’s talents are priceless. – Carrie is AMAZING! If you think you don’t need a day of planner, you are wrong! Carrie made the weeks leading up to my wedding less stressful! Not to mention the day of ran SO smoothely because of her! She is incredibly easy to work with and will put you at ease! I didn’t worry about a thing the day of because she was there. The timeline she created was perfect and helped everyone in my bridal party and vendors know what was going on. AND she contacted all the vendors so I didn’t need to. She is one of a kind! She made my wedding more beautiful then I could have ever imagined. I worked with her for over 2 years in planning my wedding and she was always punctual, helpful, suggestive, and understanding. Carrie was very flexible in creating a custom package for my needs. Part of my package included event design of the room including florals, décor & custom pieces based on my chosen theme, sea glass. My proposal looked great and I was so excited to see it come to life. I work in events for a living and I’ve seen a lot of weddings so, I had really high expectations to begin with. When the big day finally arrived, the décor and flowers blew me away! All Carries designs exceeded my expectations. Her vision and creativity is amazing! All my guests were really wowed. In addition to her creativity, Carrie is so organized, detail oriented and professional. I didn’t have to worry about a thing because, I knew Carrie had it covered. Choosing Carrie Darling Events was the best Wedding decision I made. – I knew right away that Carrie Darling Events would be the perfect fit for my husband and I when planning our wedding from across the country. Carrie adds such a unique and creative touch to every event she does. She had to balance many different personalities and always addressed each situation with patience and understanding. She put me at ease many times when I thought I was in “wedding crisis” and we ended up with a more magical evening than I ever could have imagined. She helped me fine tune my ideas and really listened to what I had envisioned to make my wedding dream a reality. She also has the patience of a saint…A trait that comes in handy when you need someone to reassure you that everything is handled in the months, weeks and days leading up to your big day. The only downside to having her as your wedding coordinator, is that when all is said and done, your going to miss having an excuse to call, chat and plan your big day with your new friend! –
