John’s business grew so rapidly that his garage, along with his neighbor’s garage, couldn’t accommodate anymore carpets. With this rapid expansion of the business, John decided to purchase a gas station which ultimately became the new home for his company. With the future addition of several adjoining sites, this is still home to the current Dunedin store located at the corner of Pinehurst and Main Streets. The business continued to expand and in 1989 another store was opened in downtown Clearwater at 1007 North Ft. Harrison Avenue to service the surrounding beach areas.
