Welcome to Camp Mataponi. Founded in 1910 as a traditional girl’s overnight camp, Mataponi is proud to have recently celebrated 100 years in camping. Rich in tradition, the spirit of the girls of the past 100 summers lives on today in a warm, enriching environment that promotes the development of each child’s self confidence. Camp Mataponi has one seven week session that begins the end of June and concludes the second week in August with approximately 320 girls each summer. We offer a healthy balance of land sports, watersports, fine arts, crafts; ropes challenge courses, outdoor adventure and much more. Each camper’s schedule is designed to introduce core activities as well as an opportunity to select electives based on individual interests. Naples, ME 04055 Camp Mataponi prides itself in having developed a carefully designed, structured program to promote the individual and group development of each camper. During the camp season, special days and added surprises are introduced to enrich the camp experience. Highlighted events such as Birthday Ball, Sing, Olympics and Jamboree are just some of Camp Mataponi traditions. Weekly camp sister events encourages and cultivates a bond, by creating a sense of cohesiveness amongst the girls at Camp Mataponi. Theater: musical production, stage production, singing, improv, costume/scenery Camp Mataponi prides itself in having developed a carefully designed and structured program to promote the individual and group development of each camper. With over 20 years of “hands on” experience at Camp Mataponi, as well as raising 3 daughters of their own, owners Marcy and Dan Isdaner can impressively say they have pretty much seen it all! They have enjoyed helping thousands of girls make memories of a lifetime amongst their friends, who ultimately become more like sisters in our Mataponi family. The emphasis at Camp Mataponi is being the best YOU can be. We strive to empower every girl to strengthen her character and learn more about herself as she forms long lasting and important friendships.
