In the post Affordable Care Act pharmaceutical era, start-up pharmaceutical companies were developing and manufacturing new generic pharmaceuticals but did not have the staff or expertise to market them. The Companies’ two founders, John McMahon and Mike Venters, recognized the needs of these start-ups in a time of drug shortages, company acquisitions and increases in the cost to do business. Pharma Trading Partners was founded to provide services for start-ups and other small to mid-size pharma companies at an affordable cost. This executive team has a proven track record in the pharmaceutical industry of successful trade positioning of both brand and generic products with 20+ years of trade relationships built on professionalism and trust.The principals have significant experience in dealing with the challenges that pharmaceutical manufacturers and wholesalers face in the retail marketplace. In addition, the Company has financial leadership from a seasoned executive that is also a licensed CPA with Big 4 accounting experience. John McMahon serves as managing partner of trade sales and marketing. Previously, Mr. McMahon was Vice President of Trade Relations at Pernix Therapeutics. In 2009, Mr. McMahon and Mr. Venters founded Macoven Pharmaceuticals, a generic pharmaceutical company, that was acquired by Pernix Therapeutics in September 2010. Under the management of Mr. McMahon and Mr. Venters, Macoven doubled its revenue each year for the first three years following its launch. He was also a founder and Vice President of Generic Sales for Aristos Pharmaceuticals. Since starting his career at Dura Pharmaceuticals in 1997, he has worked in multiple sales and trade roles, beginning at the field level and progressing to executive levels. Mr. McMahon has experience in both brand and generic pharmaceutical companies, as well as multiple therapeutic areas. Mike Venters serves as managing partner of business development and operations. Prior to co-founding Cameron, Mr. Venters was President of Macoven Pharmaceuticals as well as Vice President of Business Development at Pernix Therapeutics. In 2009, Mr. McMahon and Mr. Venters founded Macoven Pharmaceuticals, a generic pharmaceutical company, that was acquired by Pernix Therapeutics in September 2010. Under the management of Mr. McMahon and Mr. Venters, Macoven doubled its revenue each year for the first three years following its launch. Since starting his career at Dura Pharmaceuticals in 1991, he has held positions in many functional areas with ever-increasing responsibility. Mr. Venters has experience in both brand and generic pharmaceuticals, as well as multiple therapeutic areas. Cameron pharmaceuticals will be the third generic company that the pair has built from inception. Mr Venters was a founding member of Cornerstone Therapeutics where he served in the roles of Branded National Sales Director, Director of Corporate Development, Director of Trade Relations, as well as VP of Corporate Development and Sales for Aristos Pharmaceuticals which was a generic subsidiary of Cornerstone Therapeutics. Tracy Clifford serves as the chief financial officer. Prior to assuming this role, Ms. Clifford served as the Principal Accounting Officer, Controller and Corporate Secretary of Pernix Therapeutics Holdings, Inc. (“Pernix“; NASDAQ: PTX) from December 2011 to May 2015. From 2008 until December 2011, Ms. Clifford served as Pernix’s Chief Financial Officer. Ms. Clifford is a CPA and holds an MBA with a concentration in Finance. She has spent the majority of her career in the healthcare industry with financial and accounting experience at Deloitte & Touche (Miami, FL) on the healthcare audit team; North Broward Hospital District (Ft. Lauderdale, FL), and United Healthcare (Atlanta, GA) before joining Pernix Therapeutics. She has worked for a publicly traded company for the last 15 years and has experience in pharmaceutical analytics, forecasting and lender negotiation and capital raises. Anand Rai serves as the Vice President of Business Development. Prior to assuming this role, Mr. Rai has served as senior business development director for Rising Pharmaceuticals Inc, a fully owned subsidiary of Aceto Corporation. Mr. Rai has about a decade of experience in pharmaceutical industry, being involved in Strategy, Planning, Market Research and Analytics, Product and Portfolio Management and Business Development. Mr. Rai has held several strategic and executive level positions in Sales, Marketing and Business Development departments in multiple business relationship focused generic pharmaceutical companies including PACK Pharmaceuticals, LLC and Rising Pharmaceuticals Inc. Mr. Rai is a Pharmacist (Pharm. D) and has a Masters (MBA) in Pharmaceutical Marketing, earning both these qualifications from St. Johns University, NY.
