CADDY FOR A CURE INC., PORT ST LUCIE

Monday of Masters week just got a little brighter as Under Armour® Eyewear / Prime Sports announces its sponsorship of the 2nd Annual CaddyBash in Augusta. The CaddyBash event will be held at the Prime Sport Executive Club, an off-course hospitality venue just two blocks from Augusta National Golf Club, the site of the 2018 Masters Tournament. During the evening hours following the Monday practice round, they’ll show the NCAA Championship game, hold virtual golf competitions and raise money to benefit Caddy For A Cure. Supporting Caddy For a Cure is another example of UA Eyewear finding opportunities to connect with the game of golf in a meaningful way. Earlier this year UA Eyewear’s licensee, Eyeking LLC, signed a contract with the Association for Professional Tour Caddies (APTC), and a group of sponsored caddies will be in attendance at CaddyBash. “This is truly gearing up to be a memorable evening hours following the Monday practice round. As part of the CaddyBash – Caddy For A Cure will conduct an exclusive interview with the opportunity for guests to have a Q&A session with veteran and world-class TOUR caddies Ted Scott (Bubba Watson) and Jimmy Johnson (Justin Thomas). Immediately following the session guests can watch the NCAA Championship finals game on high definition screens and enjoy premium quality hospitality services. Caddy For A Cure is a non-profit organization that raises money to support notable charitable groups through its professional golf programs. “In addition to facilitating involvement in the game and rehabilitation through our program, we were able to achieve a new benchmark this past year with a mortgage-free home giveaway to a wounded service member and his family. This hallmark achievement has fueled the drive to expand our military support this year, and we’re confident the CaddyBash at the Azalea House will be a big step in that direction” says Russ Holden, Founder of Caddy For A Cure. “We are honored and grateful for this amazing opportunity and show of support by UA Eyewear and Azalea House.” Caddy For A Cure is a qualified 501(c)(3) Not For Profit Corporation. It has been approved and operating with the PGA TOUR since 2004. Caddy For A Cure offers the public the opportunity to experience a day “inside-the-ropes” at a PGA TOUR venue, caddying for a PGA TOUR player—with 100% of the proceeds going to charity. It’s a chance to walk the greatest courses in the nation, next to the greatest players and names in the world of golf, at a sanctioned PGA TOUR event. Caddying is an opportunity to gain insight into professional golf and its players that is unlike any other means. It’s a priceless opportunity to develop a relationship with one of the top players in the world while standing next to them as they hit shot after incredible shot. The Caddy For A Cure experiences are sold through a variety of methods, each reaching a diverse and immensely large audience. Since its inception and as one of its primary selling methods, Caddy For A Cure has utilized eBay’s online auction platform with its charity-arm, MissionFish.org. Through eBay’s search engine, the Caddy For A Cure auctions have the potential to reach a worldwide audience of billions. Caddy For A Cure has also partnered with many public charity events in high-end private auctions, creating a winning opportunity for many and reaching audiences that are passionate about supporting their cause. Another sales method that Caddy For A Cure has developed is a Corporate Incentive Program. This program has great appeal as a customer appreciation and employee incentive opportunity and allows businesses to build loyalty in unique and creative ways that are otherwise unavailable. The Caddy For A Cure program is an opportunity for everyone to win. It’s a unique blend of professional golf, golf fans, business and charity. The PGA TOUR and its players have long been committed to bringing professional golf closer to its fans and to ‘giving back’ from the sport, while golf fans are constantly looking for ways to get closer to the sport and its players. The PGA TOUR and its well deserved positive brand image has long appealed to businesses for its ability to reach targeted customers while offering association with a prestigious sport and brand. But perhaps the biggest winners in the equation are the multiple charities for whom funds are raised. Caddy For A Cure Caddy For A Cure is a dream-turned reality for Russ Holden, program CEO. It was Russ’s touch with Fanconi Anemia in the summer of 1993 that ultimately sparked a passion and the fire to start Caddy For A Cure, developing it into the program that it is today. Caddying around the world for one of the greatest players of all time, Russ believed that this experience was one that many people would gladly pay for to experience – to have the opportunity to caddy for a PGA TOUR player. Utilizing his college education and business degree, combined with the skills of his wife, Colleen and her 20+ years of business experience and MBA education, Holden followed his presumption to make this concept a reality. After six highly successful seasons on the PGA TOUR and with the support of virtually all of its players, the Caddy For A Cure concept continues to grow. Under the leadership of Holden and a highly qualified Board of Directors, Caddy For A Cure has made its mark in the world of professional golf. Christian Collins, the Fanconi anemia spark that drove Holden’s passion to make a difference, is doing well for now. He is serving as the National Spokesperson for Caddy For A Cure and travels often on the PGA TOUR. He has befriended many of the world’s greatest players and, as many 16-year olds like to do, Christian interacts on a daily basis with many of his PGA TOUR friends via texting and phone calls. Coming into the world of golf as an All American out of Malone College, a small NAIA school in Canton, Ohio, Holden never imagined that he would end up caddying on the PGA TOUR, let alone leading an organization that would help so many who have been challenged by misfortune. To sum up the experience and the organization, Russ likes to say: “Every dollar you give for a day you will never forget goes to someone who will never forget you.”
