Butterfly Bliss Naturals was started in 2011, as a company that wanted to provide safer, healthier beauty & body care products. The owner Leah Herbas was pregnant with her daughter Scarlett when she was blown away at how many chemicals and harmful ingredients were in baby & toddler products. Where there is a need, she found a way and the company blossomed from there. She started making her own baby wipe solution, diaper salve/healing balm, powder, and baby wash, feeling more comfortable knowing what she was putting on baby’s skin. From there the company developed into more than just baby products and expanded into handmade soaps, body scrubs, lips balms, and today now has over 50 chemical free and handmade body care products for men, women, and children. As someone who suffered tremendously dealing with eczema, and her son Jakob who suffered many years dealing with it as well, she wanted to provide customers with natural and safe products that gave them an alternative to using products with no resolution. All her products are made using therapeutic essential oils that have been known to have healing benefits for thousands of years. She uses plant-based oils such as olive, coconut, avocado, almond, and sustainable palm oil in addition to skin loving butters like shea, mango, cocoa, and kokum. Vegan friendly & cruelty free natural mined mica colorants are used. Botanical extracts and ingredients like dried flowers, salts, clays, coffee, poppy seeds, walnut shells and ground pumice are just a few things used in their products. They believe in producing artisanal handcrafted products in small batches for better quality control and freshness of ingredients. Growing up in an entrepreneurial natural products business run by her siblings and family, opened the door for her to use the same skills to run her company. Today you can find her products in store in the local Orlando and surrounding areas, through their on-line website, as well as Etsy, Amazon Handmade, The Boycott Movement, and Hubba. In 2018 she launched “Sip & Soap” teaching local customers the art of making handmade soaps using the melt & pour (glycerin soap) method. Classes are being held at various businesses around town, summer camps, church groups, ladies’ nights in the comfort of your own home where she comes to you, and children’s birthday parties.
