Building Livable Communities, Inc was expanded in 2017 to provide continuing education for professionals in the areas of comprehensive planning, land development regulation and decision-making. – The seasoned BLCINC staff provides hands-on consultation to local governments in the areas of comprehensive planning, land development regulation and decision-making. – BLCINC provides a full range of professional services for communities engaged in the re-forming and streamlining of comprehensive plans and land development regulations. © Building Livable Communities 2018 Gene Boles is the founder of Building Livable Communities, Inc. and a Senior Fellow of the Program for Resource Efficient Communities at the University of Florida. He is the coordinator and principal editor of the Florida Planning Officials Training Program. He served as the Director of the Hillsborough County Planning and Growth Management Department from 1991 through 1998 and previously served in senior management positions in Missouri, Oklahoma and South Carolina. He received his graduate education in city planning from Georgia Tech.
