Buchanan Construction built our house from architectural plans we provided. We received a very detailed cost estimate which gave us confidence that the company knew its business. While we were living out-of-state during construction and visited only briefly and a handful of times, the project managers and workers completed the building of our house within the time committed, paying considerable attention to detail, and making a strong effort to solve construction problems as they arose (such as an unusual patio design requiring special engineering). The overall quality of their work was very solid. The home qualified for an outstanding Energy Star rating (64) and because of effort that Buchanan Construction put into its planning, the net cost of our Geo-Thermal heating/cooling system was the same (after credits) as a regular system. Our total costs were within 2% of budget, excluding the unexpected amount of rock needed to be dug to lay the foundation. This company has pleasant, professional personnel, both in its office and on the jobsite. We are very happy with our home!
