BTE was founded in 1979 as Baltimore Therapeutic equipment - by three business partners – a world-famous orthopedic surgeon, an entrepreneur, and an engineer/inventor who had over 25 patents and founded Baltimore Air Coil, one of the largest industrial HVAC manufacturing companies in the world.
