I am a spirited, candid, stubborn, strong, and bold recovering control freak and people pleaser- in other words sunshine mixed with a little bit of hurricane! I hold a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy and pb&j making. We have moved 39 times (not a typo) and I am working on fostering more patience with my littles. I crave Halo Top ice cream and clean countertops that don’t have random socks strewn across them. I am loyal to Duke basketball, listen to Luke Bryan, and steer clear of tv shows that make me cry. I drive an SUV that is horrible for the environment but excellent for hauling Team Chaos around town. I do my best to abide by the truths of God’s word and purpose to be intentional about how I spend my time by following a simple routine with my nutrition, fitness and life giving activities that add value to my world. I get excited about stationary and new Lululemon leggings. I find stillness…well, nowhere in this house of crazy but, isn’t that the beauty of this season of life?! happened for me!) Now, I help other people find that same blessing! If this is something you think you need in your life-don’t wait! You that make us want to get up and cheer-not collapse with exhaustion? We can! And as your coach, I can help you do that. But, you have to take the first step to get healthy and happy-to find If we were having lunch right now, you would quickly find that I want to know what I can do to help you find balance living your life with purpose and in extreme grace for yourself! I would look across the table and want to know what you enjoy, what your dreams are, and if there was anything I could do to help. I am passionate about helping people get unstuck in their life but I also wholeheartedly believe that we have to to change more than we want to stay the same. Then, I would tell you to put your blinders on, your head down, ignore the small opinions of other people and get to work on being the change you want to see in your life! Are you ready for that? Good. Me too. And good news-you won’t be alone because we are in this together! . I watched a mom I knew from my daughter’s cheer team go through an incredible transformation using the 21 Day Fix. Then she became a coach and was helping others do the same. I messaged her and she got me all set up. I was excited. This time was different! I got the package in the mail, opened it up, looked at the eating guide, a bunch of silly colored containers and decided it was Flash forward 2 months-that same mom friend turned coach messaged me to see how I was doing. I don’t remember exactly what I said to her but I know it went something like, “I am so busy with homeschooling” (check the blog for the story on that #momfail), “The kids’ schedule has me running around like crazy”, and “I just don’t have time to do all that meal prep-it’s too much!” Her response, “If you want something you’ve never had before you have to DO something you’ve never done before.” I with it. No more going to extremes. But how? How could I do everything I was doing AND take care of myself- Saying YES was the best decision I made to get back on track with my health! I'm a busy mom of 3 and had completely lost my way. Brooke guided me and helped me get on track with eating healthy, in the right portions and a 30 min workout from home! I lost 13 lbs so far and have never been in better shape! I am a mom of 2 small children and was starting to wonder if I could ever feel confident in my skin again. I joined Brooke's challenge groups and found the support, accountability, and meal planning help I needed to make this a lasting lifestyle change. Shakeology made it easy to get a complete meal full of nutrition I wasn't getting in my day-no more yo yo diets or failed quick fixes! I'm so glad I took the leap and got started!
