Major: Business Administration – Entrepreneurship After enjoying 2 years of classes, friends and golf at the University of Tulsa, Brooke decided to take a great opportunity by moving to Raleigh, NC to play for the Wolfpack and compete in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Learning to love the busy life of a Division I student athlete, juggling part-time jobs, internships, classes, practice, and tournaments, she thoroughly enjoyed college golf. She also especially performed well during the independent summer months, capturing the Oklahoma State Amateur title in 2009, followed by Collegiate Players Tour titles in 2010 and 2011. After graduating cum laude in May of 2012 with a degree in Business Administration concentrating in Entrepreneurship, she continued to play national amateur events all summer with the plan to enter the LPGA Qualifying process the following year. With the help of incredibly wonderful friends, Brooke moved to Greenville, South Carolina and began working, playing, and practicing at The Cliffs courses in September of 2012.  She continued to compete in national amateur events, as well as play in professional mini-tour events as an amateur, through February of 2013. Always approaching life with an attitude of gratitude, she made the decision to turn professional in the early spring of 2013 after her Golfweek World Amateur Ranking reached 43rd. Brooke is now excited for the hard work, preparation, and competitions leading to the LPGA Qualifying Tournaments this fall. Graduation date:  May 2012; B.A. Business Administration/Entrepreneurship, cum laude In case you're wondering, it's true...the golf ball really does fly noticeably further at higher altitude! It was fun adjusting my club decisions based on the ball flying 10% further in the mile-high city last week. Though I'd visited Denver, CO before to go snowboarding on nearby mountains, that was my first experience playing and carrying my bag at that kind of altitude. I enjoyed the course, which was an interesting modern design with trees in the middle of some fairways and speedy slopes in the greens. Coming directly from a great ball striking performance in California, my play at Green Valley Ranch displayed much of the same characteristics. I hit the ball very well and made good decisions, but did not adjust well enough for the speed of the greens.
