BrightMove When the Hurff-Webb IT staffing company in Jacksonville, Fla., began to take off in 2004, the owners/recruiters, James Hurff and David Webb, decided that they needed new tools to help them optimally manage their business. But neither their software provider nor a thorough exploration of the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) marketplace yielded a solution that gave them the desired speed, simplicity and functionality they sought. Hurff and Webb, who both had considerable software development skills of their own, decided to build their own ATS tools with the granular-reporting and data-analytic features that would result in better-informed business decisions – for themselves and their clients.
