The President and Chief Executive Officer of Brickell Motors, Mario Murgado, has completely turned around several auto dealerships in the heart of Miami's "Little Havana" neighborhood and has become a highly regarded business leader in South Florida. Murgado has been credited with reviving his dealerships for Buick, GMC and Honda near downtown Miami after several declining years under prior ownership. He has raised the profile, sales and profitability of the dealerships and transformed them into top performers for General Motors and Honda. Murgado began his automotive career at another South Florida dealership as a sales representative and quickly moved up the ranks working through sales, management, finance, general manager, managing partner, president and CEO in Miami for Braman Imports. Additionally, he was Chief Operating Officer for Braman BMW, Porsche, Audi, Rolls-Royce, Bentley and Honda of Palm Beach. He served as Chairman of the Florida Automobile Dealers Association and the American Honda National Dealer Advisory Board and as a member of the General Motors advisory boards for marketing and fixed-operations dealers. He currently serves on the board of the South Florida Automobile Dealers Association. Outside of his business and industry, Murgado is active in numerous civic and community organizations. He served as finance chair for the commissioning of the U.S.S. GRIDLEY, a guided-missile destroyer and the first naval vessel ever commissioned in Miami. He has served on a number of boards; as past board member of the South Florida Automobile Association, Miami International Auto Show Chairman for 2012 and 2013. He currently is an active History Miami and Orange Bowl Committee board member and also serves on the board of Miami Children's Hospital and Miami Children's Hospital Foundation. His work carries over to the Board of Trustees Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, the BB&T Bank Advisory Board and the Board of Trustees for St. Thomas University in Miami. He is also a member of the World Presidents' Organization. Murgado received the TIME Dealer of the Year Award, awarded annually to only 60 dealers nationwide. The TMQDA recognizes dealers who run successful dealerships, who are active in his or her trade associations and who are active in local civic and community programs. Additionally, Murgado received the American International Automobile Dealers Impact Award and was an inductee in the Miami-Dade Hall of Fame. In addition, he was an Ernst & Young finalist in 2013 and named South Florida Business Journal's Ultimate CEO in 2011. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from La Salle University and lives in South Miami-Dade with his wife and two sons. At the age of 23, he became General Manager of a dealership and achieved record sales and profits that very first year. This track record hasn't changed: Andreus has been instrumental in leading Brickell Motors, by re-structuring the operations and increasing market share gain.
