Born and raised in New Jersey, I met my husband in college in North Carolina and married shortly after graduation. We moved several times following his career as we raised our 2 children and I gained my business and insurance experience along the way with various job positions. We moved to Cocoa, Florida 13 years ago when my husband took his last career move. Five years ago when larger insurance companies were non-renewing policyholders, I decided it was time to use that marketing and insurance experience to open Brevard Coastal Insurance! I am a born and raised Rockledge girl! I graduated from Rockledge High School where I was an avid member of the music program. I went to Brevard Community College where I majored in music education but then found that I enjoyed working in the insurance industry. I am very excited to sit down with new clients and help them with their insurance questions and needs! My name is Kristen Shellhammer, I moved to Merritt Island one year ago from my hometown of Vero Beach, FL. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management and have been working in the insurance industry since 2011. I enjoy boating, the beach, and traveling to new places.
