The program has had a positive impact on the families and children we serve, helping to prevent situations or events that would result in a child being removed from his or her home. Its success is due to the proactive participation of the families in need who openly engage in the process, building upon the successes and skills within their family unit that will sustain them long-term. Since inception, Brevard C.A.R.E.S. has provided support to over 15,000 children and their families in Brevard County. Of these families, approximately 20% self-referred, in that they sought assistance prior to a situation becoming a crisis. Less than 10% of families have been referred to our program more than once. Our Mission The mission of Brevard C.A.R.E.S. is to prevent child abuse and neglect by supporting and strengthening families so that they can remain together in the community. “Brevard C.A.R.E.S. helped me in so many ways… they helped me with a lot of “little” things, but to me, it wasn’t little. Brevard Family Partnership has made a difference in the life of our family.” Tracy Pellegrino came on board to Brevard C.A.R.E.S. in July 2017 with over 27 years of work experience in the child welfare, mental health, and exceptional educational systems, most recently serving as the Project Director for nearly five years at CBC Central Florida and a SOC Wraparound Consultant for almost two years. Tracy received a Bachelor’s degree from Cornerstone University and a Master’s degree from Florida State University; her expertise is with children and youth with Behavioral Health and/or Neurodevelopmental challenges. She is a Certified Case Manager Supervisor with the Florida Certification Board, a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), National Wraparound Initiative (NWI), and has provided private consultation and grant writing support to multiple initiatives that assist to develop and sustain Wraparound and Systems of Care. She has worked collaboratively with Child Welfare, Mental Health agencies, Medical providers, Faith-Based providers, Law Enforcement agencies, Juvenile Justice, Public and Private School Systems, Early Intervention programs, Advocacy and Parent groups, and other Child Serving agencies in Orange, Osceola, and Seminole Counties. The Brevard C.A.R.E.S. board of directors give selflessly of their time and resources to support our programs and services and ensure that we fulfill our mission, while promoting the benefits of our system of care throughout the community. Dr. Howes is the CEO of Treaty Consulting Group. He is a practitioner, educator, author, and scholar of business and management who is dedicated to helping individuals enrich their lives and organizations optimize their performance. Over his career working with small businesses and fortune 500 companies, Dr. Howes has championed numerous change efforts, steered market penetrations and business pursuits, led Post-Merger Integrations (PMIs), and ran various departments at the management and executive level. Dr. Howes has authored several acclaimed works, including: Business Optimization: Six-Steps to a Sustained Performance Culture; Student Constructions: The Relationship between Classroom Project Management and Student Perceived Teacher Caring; and Leadership: The Mechanics and Heart of it All. Ms Livolsi is the Workforce Transition/SNAP Program Manager with Career Source Brevard. She is a versatile human resource professional with over 15 years of experience in the areas of recruiting, payroll, manufacturing, hospitality, healthcare and workforce development. Ms Livolsi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/HR Management: Risk Management from American InterContinental University. She is a Certified Motivational Career Coach and a Florida Certified Workforce Professional.
