What if teenage girls across the world believed this about themselves? What if they lived like it was true? Brave Girls Gather exists to point the next generation to their identity in Christ so that they will bravely live out the wonder of their purpose. We look around and see that there is a fierce and direct attack on identity. Culture shouts a convoluted and confusing message about who we are and why it matters. We envision the next generation standing upon the unchanging truth of who they are in Christ, clearly laid out in God’s Word. Throughout the church, there are women within arms reach of teenage girls. Not every woman is called to student ministry, but every one of us has been called to discipleship. Brave Girls Gather puts tools in the hands of women so they can more easily and creatively invest in the lives of the next generation. Brave Girls Gather is not a replacement for student ministry, nor any other groups or organizations investing in the spiritual growth of a teenage girl. It is an opportunity to place one more woman in her life that points her towards the truth, as well as helps her understand what it looks like to live that out that truth in her life. Mandie is a Certified Professional Life Coach, who has worked with both women and students to help them better understand their purpose and discover their God-given dreams. Years ago, while serving in student recovery ministry, Mandie got a glimpse of the transformative impact of truth upon the lives of teenage girls. Very often, she would witness how a girl's willingness to be honest about the places she struggled, was the game-changing ingredient needed for her to finally begin to walk in freedom. The time she spent investing in the lives of teen girls in and around her life, also showed her that quite often teens today live fearful and afraid. They can talk about their faith in Christian circles. Beyond that, they often struggle to share their stories with the broken people around them. God began to show her how it came down to understanding their identity. When a girl takes God at His Word, her faith is brave, and she can't help but live it out. Mandie began to dream with God about what it would look like for the next generation to live brave. She saw the impact of one-on-one relationships with teenage girls, and began to envision what it would look like for more girls to have that in their lives. From there, Brave Girls Gather was born.
