Brad McGrath has devoted his entire career to the construction industry and has owned his own construction businesses since 1981. He began as a framing carpentry contractor, serving the markets of Louisville, KY and Houston, TX, and then moved on to specialize in interior finish carpentry, serving the Cincinnati, OH and Fort Myers, FL areas. His experience includes specialized high-end work such as curved staircases and built-in cabinetry. In 1992, this successful carpenter obtained his State Building Contractor’s Certification and has since completed more than 200 new homes and home remodeling projects. Today, as owner and operator of Brad McGrath Builder, he oversees the construction and remodeling of all projects. The company concentrates on waterfront properties, drawing on this experienced contractor’s specialized knowledge of Florida building codes and construction methods unique to waterfront construction. His expertise in carpentry gives the company a distinct advantage in the areas of historic renovation and custom home construction as well. He has created a company that is very unique in the Southwest Florida area for maintaining an in-house carpentry crew and a fully equipped cabinet shop that produces its own custom millwork and built-in cabinetry. Coming from a background of ornamental plaster work, he quickly adapted to, and acquired an extensive knowledge of, the carpentry and building trades. He is an accomplished rough framing carpenter and excels in the area of interior finish, carpentry and the precision work of fine cabinetmaking and finishing.
