Robert is a serial entrepreneur and executive with over 25 years of experience in the healthcare and life science industries. Most recently he was President and CEO of ViroCyt, Inc. ViroCyt was founded to develop and commercialize rapid virus quantification methods which can be used to accelerate development of new vaccines and gene therapy applications. The company’s products were quickly adopted by leading pharmaceutical and biotech companies and ViroCyt was acquired by Sartorius AG in July 2016. Previously Robert was the Founder, President and CEO of Medivance, Inc., which he built into the worldwide leader in therapeutic hypothermia treatment for critically ill patients. Medivance was acquired by CR Bard in 2011 for $260M and Robert was named Entrepreneur of the Year for the Mountain/Desert Region by Ernst and Young. Prior to Medivance, Robert held senior management positions at Pfizer and Covidien. Robert earned a MBA from the University of Colorado, a MS in Microbiology from the University of Illinois and a BA in chemistry from Colorado College. Donna most recently served as SVP, Sales and Marketing, Lead Management at Spectranetics until the company was sold to Philips in summer 2017. Prior to Spectranetics, Donna spent 13 years at Covidien, the last 3 years with Respiratory and Monitoring Solutions where she drove efforts to transform Patient Monitoring resulting in 32% growth. She spent 10 years with the Energy-based Devices division, holding positions of increasing responsibility in the areas of sales and marketing management, business development, and strategy and portfolio. Donna holds an MBA from the University of Rochester, and a BS from the University of Colorado. Zach has spent most of his career in and around the medical device industry. Most recently, Zach served as Vice President of Finance at Spectranetics. Prior to Spectranetics, Zach was Founder and CFO at Emerge Medical, a company focused on generic orthopedic trauma products. Emerge was ultimately sold to Cardinal Health in 2014. He spent the bulk of his career in investment banking where he was a member of Piper Jaffray’s medical technology team and completed numerous public and private financing transactions as well as several M&A assignments. Zach holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and a BS from Drake University. David has a proven track record of growing companies which has led him to his passion of helping people. He has over 18 years of executive management and entrepreneurship. Most recently, David founded two organizations and successfully exited another. In his spare time, David is the Executive Director and co-founder of the Pediatric Congenital Heart Association (PCHA) whose mission to is “Conquer Congenital Heart Disease.” After his daughter was born with heart disease, he saw a gap in advocacy and decided to start PCHA. He holds a B.S.B.A in Finance from The University of Tulsa. Dale has over 20 years of medical device development experience where he has contributed to over 50 patents and launched more than 10 successful products into new and existing markets. Through his 15year tenure with Covidien, Dale led product development teams and championed the LigaSure™ vessel sealing technology from concept to a $500 million business. Dale worked from 1990-1994 as an R&D ProjectManager at SciMed Life Systems. He holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of North Dakota and an M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Marquette University. Patti has 25 years of diverse medical device marketing experience including market research, product development and marketing management. In her 12 years at Valleylab she began the market research and development efforts for the LigaSure Vessel Sealing Technology. She led the branding efforts to create this new market segment in general and GYN surgery. As Marketing Manager from 1999 to 2004, her team took the product family from 3 devices in 2 surgical specialties to 7 devices in 5 surgical specialties; growing this new market segment to $300M globally. Patti holds a B.S. in Marketing from the University of Florida and M.B.A. from the University of Colorado. Claire Bronstein is Director of Quality Systems. She partners with the development, regulatory, operations, sales and marketing teams to assure end-to-end quality, reliability, and regulatory compliance. With more than 20 years in the medical device industry, Claire has a proven track record in delivering quality products to patients and care providers around the globe. Prior to her current position, Claire’s experience includes several quality roles of increasing responsibility at Terumo BCT. Earlier in her career, Claire amassed over 15 years of operations, technology development and business management experience with Datex-Ohmeda, now GE Healthcare. Claire is a graduate of GE’s Manufacturing Management Program and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering from Clarkson University. Dr. Rothenberg is the Chief of Pediatric Surgery and the Chairman of the Department of Pediatrics at the Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children in Denver, CO. He is also a Clinical Professor of Surgery at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He is a world leader in the field of endoscopic surgery in infants and children and has pioneered many of the procedures using minimally invasive techniques. Steve completed medical school and general surgery residency at the University of Colorado in Denver. He spent a year in England doing a General Thoracic Surgery fellowship, then completed a two-year Pediatric Surgery fellowship at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston. In 1992 he returned to Colorado and has been in private practice. He has served as surgical advisor for several surgical device companies, including Karl Storz, Covidien, and Intuitive Surgical.
