I’ve always been a creative person, surrounded by a creative family. I’m the daughter of a woman who epitomizes the handmade generation and could give even Martha Stewart a run for her money. I’m the sister of another emerging artist studying visual design and event styling, and our father has even represented several international selling artists. Needless to say, creativity runs deep in our family.
My mother nurtured my artistic talents early, pushing me to succeed in art when I fell short in other talents (hand-eye coordination is not my forte, needless to say I didn’t do well in dance and sports). I had my first gallery exhibition at the age of eight in a Volusia County sponsored exhibition on children artists. But as I grew older, I treated art more as a hobby while I focused on ways to transition my creative talent into business.
I pursued a career in product development and marketing for several industries including medical device, biologics, consumer product goods, and technology. I was able to successfully use my creative ability to see things differently, to deconstruct something into its many pieces and see how it fits together to produce the right results. All the while I continued to paint, create, and sell my art in the background whether at local art markets, personal commissions, or displays at local businesses.
I find painting to be both a channel for emotional expression and a form of mediation. The emotion I felt when I was painting often comes out in the final design, but the beauty of art is how different each of us may see the same piece. What may have been an expression of vulnerability to me may be a sign of visual strength to the viewer. This is what pushes me to continue creating and sharing my art, so that each one of us can find an emotional and relevant connection, something that embodies who we are.
I’m ready to bring my passion into focus with Bold City Art and to make art attainable for everyone. It’s my personal philosophy and BCA’s vision to help everyone to

collection was designed to represent the uniqueness in each of us, highlighting the various colors of your personal style. Our growing collection of Wearable Art includes form-flattering leggings to be worn at the gym or on the go, coordinating tanks, or colorful cami’s to be worn with jeans or under a blazer for that statement style. For a complete look, we also offer chiffon boleros to add a pop of color to that little black dress or to be paired with ripped jeans for a summer concert vibe. Each piece of our Wearable Art collection is hand printed and sewed, ensuring the quality of the final product.
Bold City Art was founded by local artist Natashya Narkiewicz in an effort to make art attainable for the everyday person. After years of selling commissioned work and chasing gallery exhibitions Natashya felt pulled to blend art into her everyday life. It then became a mission to make art available for purchase outside of a gallery and affordable for the everyday person. Just because you aren’t buying an original painting from a local exhibition doesn’t mean you can’t own original art. Art should evoke an emotional response, an emotion of connection and relevancy. This is a fundamental emotion of all of us, and should be celebrated and shared.
