Helping to Prevent or Manage Diseases such as: Shortly after she began teaching yoga in 2002, BodyInUnity was born when Bible study and love of yoga lead her to intertwine faith and fitness. Kristen had been a student of yoga two years prior with hopes to improve her flexibility, and to balance out the many demanding classes she was teaching. She discovered it offered so much more. Having a passion for praise and worship music, experience on the praise team and as a worship leader, a background in visual art, and an understanding of choreography, it has been a natural progression for Kristen to create the BodyInUnity classes. She was also frequently invited to lead soldiers for their required physical training, and received awards for excellence in fitness services she provided for military families. After being introduced to aerobic dance fitness in college, Kristen began teaching on campus, and helped to train female bodybuilders for competition at a local gym while she herself competed for a short time. BodyInUnity Welcome to BodyInUnity Yoga BodyInUnity Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) ministry located in Oviedo FL. We also serve Winter Springs, Geneva, Chuluota, UCF & Orlando areas. With a variety of styles including: gentle yoga, foundations, fitness flow, self-myofacial release & power yoga, pilates & tai chi, you can begin and continue to grow your practice with BodyInUnity Yoga. We offer instruction & opportunities for you to build balanced, flexible strength as well as for your spiritual transformation and healing. Yoga is helpful as a complementary treatment for: back & shoulder pain, chronic pain, sciatica, depression & anxiety, PTSD, arthritis, addiction, auto-immune disorders, obesity, diabetes, insomnia, digestive disorders. BodyInUnity Christian yoga is a safe & welcoming sanctuary for you to practice mindful movement, focused breath, Bible scripture meditation & prayer.
