Boca Helping Hands (BHH) is a community-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 1998 by local religious congregations. BHH began its mission as a Food Center providing nutritious hot lunches three days a week and distributing food bags to families, with operations consolidated into the Remillard Family Resource Center at 1500 NW 1st Court, Boca Raton, FL, in January 2010. Today, the center offers meals six days a week and hosts Family Night Dinners on Thursdays, ensuring support through meal delivery to homebound seniors and disabled individuals. In April 2002, BHH expanded its services by establishing a Resource Center aimed at assisting Boca Raton residents dealing with crisis situations such as eviction and utility cancellation. Additionally, the organization offers classes in Hospitality, Home Health Aide training, CDL (Commercial Truck Driving), Call Center Representative Training, and IT Help Desk Technician programs. The Job Mentoring Center further facilitates career development by providing coaching, guidance, and job-readiness instruction, promoting self-sufficiency among clients. BHH receives support from individuals, corporations, foundations, schools, and over 300 dedicated volunteers. Recognized as a Four Star Charity for the past eleven years, BHH also received accolades in 2015 and 2016. Its commitment includes partnerships like those with Lynn University's Future Leaders of Tomorrow and The Fresh Market for Food Recovery initiatives.
