I’m Bob Gouge and my company is Bob Gouge Construction, LLC, located in Venice, FL. I’ve been in the aluminum construction business in Florida since the early 80’s. I started out selling for them and I just loved it. They were Florida’s largest mobile home addition specialist. I was in charge of several developing mobile home communities. I managed the concrete and aluminum construction required to finish new model homes as they were built. I was in charge of setting of the home, plumbing, electric, concrete, masonry, and aluminum. It was a big construction job for a 19 year old kid to handle, but I learned it very fast and soon became the top salesperson for them. In 1994 Suncoast Aluminum was sold to Quality Industries, a company out of Ft. Myers. Quality Industries closed May of 1995. A few days later I met with the Blair Group who owned and operated 5 mobile home communities across the state of Florida. They also had a aluminum construction company called Blaco Construction, which was doing the same type of construction as I have done in the past. They were a very financially stable company and contacted me about opening up an office in Venice. In June of 1995 I took several of the top installers and sales representatives along with me and we went to work for Blaco Construction. I ran the Venice office and the business thrived. We did thousands of jobs in communities and soon became a leader in the aluminum industry. In June of 2011, my boss decided it was time for him to retire. I had many opportunities to go to work for other local companies but decided that it was now time for me to open my own company. So at that time, I formed Bob Gouge Construction, LLC. We are licensed, bonded, and insured. I once again brought with me the top installers in the industry and everyone working with me has over 25 years’ experience in aluminum construction.
