Blue Dolfins LLC is a distinguished USA Swimming team based in Central Florida, established in 1972 by Harry Meisel. Known for cultivating top swimmers at both the age-group and collegiate levels, Blue Dolfins maintains its headquarters in Oviedo and has been a part of Winter Park since its inception. The facilities include a 50-meter pool at the Oviedo Aquatic Complex on Oviedo Blvd., and a 25-yard pool at the Winter Park Racquet Club and Winter Park High School. A notable milestone was the construction of a pool at Rollins College in 1972, financially supported by the Alfond family, which led to the founding of Blue Dolfins. Founded with a dozen swimmers under Kevin's father, who served as aquatics director, the organization flourished into a year-round program. Under Charlie Rose, a former standout swimmer from the team, and Skip Foster, the coaching lineage continues producing significant accolades.
