David C. Hickox is a principle partner and president of blaze fire protection. Blaze is located in Sparta Michigan and has been in business since April of 1995. He is one of the founders of Blaze. Dave has over 30 years experience in the fire sprinkler system industry. He started as a pipe fabricator for a local sprinkler company and after about a year of threading pipe, Dave was transferred to field installation of sprinkler systems. A four year apprenticeship resulted in a journeyman's status registered with the United States Department of Labor. Through the years he has experienced all the different aspects of the fire sprinkler industry. These aspects are field installation, service and repair, engineering and design, sales and estimating, consulting to fire departments and fire inspectors. Dave was an instructor for t he apprenticeship course offered locally for three years.
Design at Blaze Fire Protection is headed by Todd Peterson. He is NICET III Certified. Todd has over 17 years experience in design and engineering sprinkler systems.
