Bivouac Solutions was founded by Ryan Grose with the help of several close friends who pushed him to do more than he thought possible. He soon found out those people were right. One of his biggest mentors whom much credit is due is Steve Kennedy. Ryan was born into active addiction and struggled with it for most of his life. He knew something was missing and he found that in alcohol and drugs. He served in the military for several years but while in the military he still struggled with the disease, which eventually took what he dreamed would be a career away from him. He was medically retired through a Medical Examination Board or Med Board as they call it in the Army. Having lost all the structure he had and his dream job, he fell prey to misery and depression and soon was at his worst. Using pills and alcohol together, not really living anymore. After several treatment centers and halfway houses Ryan landed in Steve’s care and he says “it was God doing for me what I could not do for myself”. Steve was the loving hand Ryan needed in his life and never gave up on Ryan. Ryan left Steve’s program several times but Steve never gave up and continually reached out to him. After one last run through treatment with the help of Steve, Ryan was able to get back on his own two feet and become a member of society at last. He was no longer surviving, he was living.
