Birdman Filmworks is a production company based in Jacksonville, Fl. We tell authentic stories by producing branded content, documentary films, and television commercials. About Birdman Filmworks Founder – Josh Hansbrough Birdman Filmworks was established by Josh Hansbrough in 1999. Josh grew up among aspiring professional surfers, and he quickly became a contributing cinematographer to surf films distributed worldwide. Hansbrough began to extend his mark in the surf industry by documenting large international events and branded content for the surf industries’ biggest brands. From 2008-2010, Los Angeles based production house, Windowseat Pictures, contracted Josh as a cameraman for the documentary style TV series on the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing airing on Fuel TV. Following his international surf and travel endeavors, he began to focus his efforts on the art of documentary story telling, shedding light on social and environmental issues. Additionally, Josh has written and directed television commercials and created content for a multitude of clients; from international brands to non profit organizations with inspiring stories. Birdman is a playful name that reminds us that there are mysteries in the world that are yet to be revealed. There are things to hope for and dreams to be sought after.
