We also strive to bring you civilian companies that are going above and  Founder, Zane Holscher, grew up on a farm in western Nebraska, earned his undergraduate degree from the U.S. Air Force Academy and his Master's Degree from Air University.  Zane has over 17 years of total military service, including 14 spent on active duty in the U.S. Air Force, 11 years in special operations units, and three years as an Air Force Reservist- where he currently serves in the 919th Special Operations Wing. Since 2010, much of his free time has been spent helping raise funds for military causes with running events in the Destin area. To date, through his 501(c)3 public charity, he has raised over $470,000 for the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, Fisher House, and individual military families who have lost a loved one in combat or training. Through Beyond 214, he strives to promote companies that are making a positive difference in the world and giving back.  Co-Founder & Manager, Mindy Whalen, grew up in Indiana with a military family as both of her grandfathers served in World War II, her father in the U.S. Army, and her brother in the U.S. Marine Corps. She has over ten years of professional experience, seven of which were spent working for the Department of Veterans Affairs in Washington, DC.  Mindy holds a BS from Indiana State University, as well as a Master's Degree from Clemson University.
