The firm maintains an active commuter trip reduction program that began in 2001, and received the Pacesetter Award for its efforts. This program pays for transit passes and includes incentives for employees using alternative transportation modes. To reduce the need for travel between offices, BergerABAM uses an interactive communication method. All offices have SMART Board interactive whiteboards and videoconferencing systems. BergerABAM has reduced vehicle use and miles traveled substantially by conducting electronic meetings, workshops, and presentations using this method.
