Bennett Pediatrics is a practice providing primary pediatric medical care for children and young adults from birth to 21 years old. We believe that “caring for the child is caring for the family”. Our practice not only seeks to address the physical medical needs of the child, but views the child as a developing individual, growing up in the context of a family and a community. Dr. Lorna Bennett practiced with Florida Medical Group at Pediatric Associates of Lake County in Tavares, Florida for over 8 years and has decided to start her own practice in Clermont, FL where she resides to be closer to her family. She will continue to provide the same compassionate care in her new practice. She is very knowledgeable, compassionate and fun to work with. The children are always happy to see her. “Lily of the valley” as Dr. Bennett affectionately calls her is committed to giving our patients the best experience. Lily thrives for patient satisfaction and is very sensitive to the needs of each patient. We are happy to have Lily as a part of the team. Melissa is our front office/nursing support staff at Bennett Pediatrics. She has a bubbly, upbeat personality and is always smiling. She is great with children. Our patients and families are always greeted with a smile when they arrive at the office. Melissa goes above and beyond for our patients and works tirelessly to ensure that each family has a positive experience every time they need our services. Congratulations! Expectant parents are always welcome to meet with the doctor. Whether Dr. Bennett sees your newborn at the time of delivery or in the office, she will be there to provide guidance through the process, both for first time parents and parents with other children. There are always lots of questions in the beginning about feeding, sleep etc. All questions are welcomed. Dr. Bennett is a strong breastfeeding advocate and will provide breastfeeding support. If a mommy is not able to breastfeed, no problem Dr. Bennett can help with that too. You have all become a part of my family and I thank you for entrusting me with the care of your children. I have enjoyed every moment of our journey together. We have laughed and sometimes cried together. I have watched the kids grow up and I am so proud of all them. As a parent, I understand how difficult it can be to raise a child but with God’s help we always do what is best for our families. I anticipate that my new practice location will be opened in early December 2013. I will continue to serve the Tavares area by maintaining my privileges with Florida Hospital Waterman. FHMG has provided some options for continuity of care and you may have already received that information from them.
