You get up in age and you've worked for a company for 35 years and they [push you out] and I had no idea anything about how to get help. I haven't been unemployed since 1970. So this is like a whole new [world].. I had no idea who to turn to, or how to get help and I just want to tell you how much I appreciate you all. I contacted a different organization and they were not able to assist me. Your staff reached out to me and helped me through this process. Your help has been beyond everything. I got food stamps...and had no idea I was eligible. It is great, especially when you didn't know you were eligible. The addition of the money (food stamps) has helped make my quality of life better. Your staff very helpful. They took the time and explained in detail each thing [my sister] could potentially be eligible for. They told me the information that I would need to get the benefit.
