:  As the owner and gunsmith of BP Services, LLC, I began my career by enrolling in the gunsmithing degree program at Trinidad State Jr. College, located in Trinidad, Colorado, and successfully graduating with an A.A.S. degree in May 1982. After graduation, I began full-time gunsmithing at a gun shop located in my hometown and about a year later, I relocated to Orlando, Florida, working full-time at a local gun shop as the Manager and Gunsmith. Working as a gunsmith for both shops helped me to begin developing my gunsmithing apprenticeship skills, as well as my retail managerial expertise in the firearms industry. A few years later, I decided to undertake a completely different full-time career path, and for the next 25 years, I served our country. Throughout that career, I continued working on guns, performing refinishing and restoration jobs of family heirlooms and other family favorite guns, along with performing repairs, fit modifications, stock  and action bedding, trigger jobs, making gun stocks from wood blanks, refinishing stocks, installing recoil pads, butt plates, scopes, mounts, sights, making springs; basically, performing most any type of gun repair you can think of.  Throughout my life, I have engaged in all types of hunting, fishing and other outdoor activities. I regularly competed in handgun shooting competition events, compound bow shooting sports, NRA high-powered rifle shooting events, high-power rifle and handgun silhouette shooting, IPSC shooting events, and later became an accomplished trapshooter reaching the 27 yard line in handicap in July of 2008.
