Dr. Spooner believes strongly in minimizing the use of medication and maximizing behavioral and cognitive therapy while engaging the family unit in care. He spends time explaining not only the treatment plan but also its rationale and provides specific goals for treatment to gauge a patients response. Dr Spooner also encourages the practice of holistic and alternative medicine including reiki, acupuncture, meditation etc. to complement psychotherapy and medication treatments.
