By 2000, the company had grown to over 400 accounts, both commercial and residential. Clean Sweep was busy fielding service calls to re-model and repair pools, replace skimmers, change lights, provide maintenance services, and more. Two years later, John decided it was time to open his own retail store, a place for customers to learn how to service their own pool. Two stores were quickly up and in operation. The demand for pool re-modeling steadily increased. John quickly realized this was where his true passion lay: the design aspect of creating waterfalls, building rock structures, extending decks and creating a backyard oasis for the customer. By 2006, the demand for pool remodeling and repair was so great that John had to close down the pool maintenance side of his business to focus on leak detection, equipment repair, and building and remodeling pools. In 2010, the decision was made to close down Clean Sweep Pool Service & Repair and start a new company which encompassed my vision. Bay Area Pool Authority, the last word in backyard fun, was born.
