They liked it, I was paid and that was the beginning of Barrington Young “The Sign Man”, “The Sign Guy” or whatever else they chose to name me.  were the order of the day so I bought some brushes (the wrong ones) and vigorously solicited business. Through trial and error and careful observation of “good” Sign Painters, my equipment improved and so did technique and efficiency.
